Candidate discovery interview
The ESC Montpellier oral is an interactive exchange between the candidate and members of the jury, without distractive questioning.
From ten or so scenarios suggested by the jury, the candidate selects one of his/her choice and relates a personal experience (work placement, time abroad, team effort, experience as part of an association etc.) corresponding to the chosen scenario. The account given by the candidate; his/her personalised illustration of the given scenario, allows the jury to identify the candidate’s personal qualities.
Questions put forward by jury members during the account are designed to gradually get to know the candidate.
Preparing for the interview : be yourself
The best way to prepare for the interview is to think back to situations you have faced in the recent past (going back less than 18 months).
You should look to clearly and effectively present events experienced in a work or family situation, as part of a sports or association related experience, or quite simply a memorable anecdote from every-day life in which you were involved.
Your main aim should be to allow the jury discover who you are.
