Experimenting to understand the company with equanimity
An internship associated with a specific teaching objective is envisaged for each study year.
Amongst other, students are required to complete a long-term internship ‘One-Year Work Experience' (fr. AE). Only those students admitted to ESC under particular admission criteria or those in particular circumstances may be exempt from this compulsory internship.
Internship duration | Part of the programme | Objectives |
|---|---|---|
Work Discovery Internship A minimum of 2 months | 1st year of study France or abroad | The purpose of the internship is to allow students to familiarise themselves with the business environment through an assignment/project with, if possible, an international context. |
Application Internship (Optional, but strongly recommended) A minimum of 3 months | 2nd year of study France or abroad | Students develop their professional skills by putting into practice their knowledge in the various management disciplines, and test out their professional strengths. |
One-Year Work Experience (AE) 9 to 12 months, full time | Can be over one of two periods: from February to January of the following year, or between June and September of the following year. France or abroad | Students work in a company for one full year during the Graduate programme. This year's work experience puts students in real-life situations, full time, in the professional environment. This experience represents an undeniable advantage in the careers of the young graduates. |
Professional specialisation internship A minimum of 6 months, full time | Final year of study France or abroad | The student carries out this internship as a direct prolongation of the skills acquired during the teaching phase for the prepared specialisation. This internship is designed as a passport to the first job. |
ESC Montpellier receives between 30 and 50 internship offers each day, providing its students with thousands of opportunities.
